The Clarity Consultation
A focused, obligation-free session to help you finalise your financial separation agreement (aka property settlement) and understand what to do next.
The Clarity Consultation is a structured, high-value working session designed to turn your agreement into certainty.
Specifically for couples who are 85–100% agreed on their financial split, this session is a professional ‘health check’ where you and your partner work directly with our collaborative family lawyer to stress-test your plan and map out your path forward.

What happens before we meet:
We like to hit the ground running and make the most out of our time together. Before we meet, you and your partner will each complete an intake form. We use the information to:
- Compile your numbers: We prepare a comprehensive spreadsheet of your assets, debts, and superannuation.
- Model your split: We map your proposed split using your numbers so you can see exactly how the division looks on paper, using your agreed figures and adopting the strict legal approach.
What we achieve during the session:
- The Professional ‘Health Check’: We walk through your agreement and our spreadsheet to identify any grey areas, overlooked considerations, and discuss what-if scenarios.
- Alternate Paths: We’ll highlight any options or additional matters for you to consider to make your agreement more robust.
- Action Plan: We identify the specific suggested action items needed to move your agreement from 85% to 100%.
- Strategy & Logistics: We explain the different ways to make your agreement legally binding, and provide a cost and timeframe comparison between our collaborative model and traditional legal pathways.
What you take away:
Whether we work further together or not, you will leave the session with:
- A clear understanding of your current financial position and the proposed split.
- Suggested next steps and immediate action items for you to further discuss together.
- Clarity as to the legal process, costs, and realistic timeframes ahead of you.
Important To Know:
This session is for separating couples who:
- Are communicating respectfully
- Are 85-100% agreed on their financial split
- Want a simple, efficient and collaborative process
Our Separate Together service isn’t suitable for everyone.
As part of this consultation, we will assess whether this process is appropriate for your circumstances. Where it’s not the right fit, we’ll let you know and guide you toward a more suitable pathway.
Our service is not suitable for couples where there have been or are family violence or safety concerns.
*IMPORTANT*
Due to our collaborative family lawyer being on maternity leave, Separate Together is currently closed.
We intend on re-opening in July 2026. Please check back then to book your Clarity Consultation.

No. Our Separate Together model is built on transparency and neutrality, so the Clarity Consultation is a joint meeting. We work from joint instructions and a joint engagement from the very beginning.
Having you both present ensures that everyone hears the same information at the same time, which is the first step in moving forward together.
To make the most of our time together, we do a significant amount of prep work—including reviewing your numbers and modelling your split—before we meet.
For this to happen, both intake forms must be properly completed and received at least three business days before your scheduled session. If they aren’t in by then, we’ll need to cancel and reschedule for a time when both are ready. This ensures you get the full value of the “Clarity” we promise.
The Clarity Consultation (financial matters) is a single fixed price of $630 (incl GST). This covers:
- the pre-consultation financial review
- the 60 minute working session, and
- a summary email to you following the consultation.
How you choose to share that cost between you is entirely up to you.
For Financial Consent Orders, we charge one fixed price which typically ranges between $4k -$9k.
Generally, the simpler your agreement = the lower the price.
If your situation involves complex structures—such as companies, trusts, self-managed super funds (SMSF), or multiple properties—the price point will be at the end of that scale to reflect the extra work and complexity required in preparing the paperwork.
Yes, we can prepare Divorce Applications, and the paperwork to make your child’s care and living arrangements, and child support (optional) official in a Parenting Plan or Parenting Consent Orders.
