About
Most people don’t come into a separation thinking about legal processes.
They’re thinking about their family, their future, and how to get through something that feels uncertain and overwhelming. What they need in that moment isn’t just advice—it’s clarity, reassurance, and a sense that there is a way forward.
I understand that, because I’ve been on the other side of a legal process myself.
While it wasn’t related to separation, I remember how vulnerable and unsettling it felt to be inside something I didn’t fully understand. Even with professional support, there were moments where I felt out of my depth—not because the advice wasn’t there, but because the process wasn’t clear.
What I found myself wanting was simple: to understand what was happening, what came next, and why. That sense of understanding gave me something incredibly important—a feeling of control at a time when everything else felt uncertain.
When I later sat across from a client who had already reached an agreement with his wife and simply wanted help formalising it, something clicked. I saw an opportunity to meaningfully help couples who simply wanted legal support that moved them forward—with calm, clarity, structure, and protection for their future.
That was the beginning of Separate Together.
I’ve taken everything I’ve learnt—both from my personal journey and my legal career—and used it to break down a complex, overwhelming system into a user-friendly path.
The Separate Together Framework:
- Certainty of Process: You should never have to guess what happens next. Every stage is mapped out from the start.
- The “Why” Framework: We don’t just write up your agreement in legal speak—we help you understand it, and walk you through the “what if” scenarios you might’ve overlooked to then help you decide what else needs to be covered as part of the legal paperwork.
- Collaborative Efficiency: By formalising agreements couples have reached together, we bypass the adversarial “back-and-forth” that fuels conflict and cost.

Meet Your Guide — Siobhan Mullins
Hi there, I’m Siobhan (pronounced ‘Sh-vaughn’), the founder of Separate Together.
I’m a collaboratively trained family lawyer who believes that separation doesn’t have to mean conflict. I’ve spent years helping couples navigate the legal side of separating while keeping their dignity—and sanity—intact.
When I’m not helping families move forward, you’ll find me with my toddler and newborn (arriving early 2026), trying to figure out how to “do it all”.
I’m a big believer in boundaries, the power of a good strong cup of coffee, and that knowledge is power.
As the spouse of an Army Officer, I continue to learn a lot about living with uncertainty, managing logistics, solo parenting, flexibility, and asking for help—all things that actually make me a better guide for my clients.
I started Separate Together because I believe families deserve a process that meaningfully supports and helps their collaboration, not get in the way of it.
If you’re ready to separate together with your partner, I’m here for helping you do just that.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Just in case you missed it, Separate Together is currently closed while I’m on maternity leave. Doors will reopen mid-2026, with bookings available July 2026.
